HyunA Reveals Healing Journey After Marrying Yong Jun-hyung: Tattoo Removed, Insomnia Treated
Appearing on comedian Lee Yong-jin’s YouTube variety show Yongtaro on May 14, HyunA shared, “It’s been about a year since I started removing my tattoo. I had a lot of tattoos all over my body. It takes a lot of time to remove them. My mom said, ‘How about trying to live with a clean body just once?’. So I went to start removing them.” Host Lee, who also underwent tattoo removal, commiserated with her, describing it as a long and painful process requiring visits every two months.
As the topic shifted to her surprise marriage announcement, Lee joked, “After the first and second times, by the third time I showed up saying, ‘I’m married!’ So, from HyunA’s perspective, how can you tell me to be comfortable in this situation?” HyunA confessed she was nervous and took an anti-anxiety pill before appearing on the show.
Speaking warmly about her life after tying the knot, she said, “It’s fantastic! If I had to pick the best thing, I used to suffer from insomnia. Now I sleep well. Just being in the same space gives me a great sense of stability.” The singer also noted that they’ve never argued. “If we did, he’d win,” she laughed. “He leads by example, showing me how things could be better.”
HyunA, who debuted young, revealed that marriage introduced her to many firsts: “I didn’t really know how to do practical tasks like banking. But now, getting family documents! I’m trying to do these things on my own.”
Embracing the simple joys of married life, she added, “Going out in pajamas and slippers around the neighborhood. Buying a can of beer after work. A lot of celebrities live in that neighborhood and say, ‘HyunA, why have you become like an auntie?'” she joked.
HyunA and Yong Junhyung officially got married in October 2024, and while their relationship has captured headlines, it’s the quiet contentment in their everyday life that truly shines.
